i'm sorry if i'm posting too much...uhh...moving right along...
the nazgul gave me nightmares the first time i read the book. did that happen to anyone else? i have always found them to be fascinating.
i loved how they did weathertop in the movie. howard shore made great music for the scene (as usual), and the special effects were great. but the thing that really got me was when frodo and the other hobbits were looking around all scared like, and ye see frodo's eyes (i have to say elijah's best acting skill is the way he uses his eyes) widen with terror, and all of sudden ye see one of the nazgul climb over the ridge, slowly and deliberately. in that scene, i could practically TASTE the terror, you know?
the nazgul were very influential on me. they gave me such a great feeling of fear. and when they have the fellbeasts...gadzooks, incredible.
so, i guess what i'm asking is, what do you all think of the nazgul?

the witch-king could also have been bluffing.

Also, Merry only *wounded* the Witch-king, and the whole thing about 'no living man,' 'no son of man,' et cetera, has to do with *killing* him. ::sneaky grin::

i dont think so. aragorn threw a torch into his face, didn't he? and the nazgul still lived. i think that's fair evedence that they can't be killed by Men. but then, that was in the movie. i don't think it happened exactly that way in the book.

Well...humans can be torched in the face and still live, too.

Just sayin'.

but have a torch stuck IN their face? like, the torch was sticking out of his head. i doubt any human would survive that. but then, who knows.
